Owl be darned... she was right over my head all that time!

Sometimes we are too busy being busy to see what is right over our heads or under our noses. Not ten yards from my concrete leaf (see earlier blog) there is a trio of trees where a mother owl has nested. She has three little ones and she is sitting right over them watching! In the photo above she isn't so evident (it's called camoflauge for a reason), but below with a little help from a telephoto, she become SO clear. What else am I missing on my runs with "Batman" my Italian greyhound, by watching my feet?

WOW! Amazing. How did you spot them? And have your camera! I am a bit jealous but afraid if I came to see she would be gone when I got their! If you got more pics I would love to see them! Owls are inspiring for me. I am in awe.

I thought of Terra first thing as I was reading this.

My boys told me you mentioned having an Italian Greyhound. We just got our first a few weeks ago. She is our first dog. Her name is Skylar. Connor named her. We didn't know a lot about the breed but I think it was meant to be. She is as sweet as can be and adds something very special to our family.
